Akua Donkor, the presidential candidate of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), has chosen Kwabena Agyeman Appiah Kubi, popularly known as Roman Fada and host of the Atinka FM Drive Time Show, as her running mate for the 2024 presidential election.
The Ghanaian farmer had planned to settle on Adakabre Frimpong as her running mate for the 2024 election, but she had to change him at the last hour.
In explaining why she took that decision, Akua Donkor revealed that Adakabre informed her he would soon be enstooled as a chief; hence, he will no longer be available to be her running mate.
Speaking in an interview on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, Akua Donkor stated that she is contesting the election to bring relief to Ghanaians and better living conditions.
According to her, she will soon launch her manifesto to outline her policies of economic transformation.
Akua Donkor lamented that the two major political parties have failed the people, and it was time Ghana got a leader with better policies to transform the country.
She reiterated her commitment to operate a free port under her presidency and roll out a policy to refine crude oil in Ghana to help reduce the cost of petroleum products.
She further promised to make the free senior high policy better than it is today, saying, "I was the one who promised to roll out free SHS in 2012 before the others stole my policy."
In the fight against galamsey, she promised to hand over the management of all water bodies to the Ghana Armed Forces.
