... to Lead The Way Ahead of NPP’s Victory 2012*
*Thursday, August 26, 2010:-* The Flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Akufo-Addo has appealed to the people of Atiwa to “lead the way with a massive and deciding victory for the NPP in the upcoming bye election in the constituency.”
He stated that “the NPP has to return to power in order for our country to move forward again and Tuesday’s bye election presents a good opportunity for the NPP to make another strong case of how ready we are to recapture power in 2012.”
He bemoaned how Ghanaians all over the country are expressing their disappointment in the performance of the incumbent NDC.
“They are looking up to us in the NPP to come and save them from this failing NDC administration and we cannot fail them.” He said.
The Atiwa By election, Nana Akufo-Addo noted was a litmus test to show the ruling NDC evidence of their low popularity nationwide. He therefore called on the electorates to vote massively for the NPP to send a strong signal to the ruling NDC that majority of Ghanaians have lost confidence in the Mills administration and its unfulfilled campaign promises.
Nana Akufo-Addo made this known on Thursday, August 26, when he addressed gatherings in communities such as Kwabeng, Enyiresi, Ankasee, Moorsu, Musiasee and a host of others all in the Atiwa constiyuency to canvass for support for the NPP Parliamentary Candidate, Mr. Kwasi Amoako-Atta.
He was in the company of NPP General Secetary, Kwodwo Owusu Afriyie, Alhaji Mucta Bamba, National Organiser, Hon. Dominic Nitiwul, MP for Binbila, Hon. Kobby Othere Darko Mensah, MP for Takoradi, former Majority leader and Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Hon Felix Owusu Agyapong, Hon. Issac Asiama, MP for Atwima Mponua, Otiko Afisa Djaba, National Women Organiser and Eastern Regional Executive of the party.
Nana Akufo-Addo described the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for the Atiwa Constituency as the best candidate among all his contenders due to his excellent track record as a Presiding Member for the Atiwa district.
None of the Candidates contesting the Atiwa Parliamentary Seat Nana Akufo-Addo said can better articulate the concerns of the people of Atiwa in Parliament for prompt action than the NPP Parliamentary Candidate Mr. Kwasi Amoako-Atta who has served Atiwa as an Assembly Member and a Presiding Member for almost a decade.
On his part, the Parliamentary Candidate, Mr. Kwesi Amoako Attah appealed to the electorates to consider his immense contribution for the area whiles he was an Assembly Member and the Current Presiding Member of the district.
More to this he said he is well be informed about the development needs of the area and all he needs was the electoral supports for him to champion their course in parliament.
