Deputy Minister for Information, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has launched a vitriolic attack on the failed presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), saying “he is the most violent politician in Ghana”.
Mr Okudzeto Ablakwa said recent actions by the leadership of the NPP were a face saving mechanism to whip up support among the rank and file of the NPP, thereby attacking the integrity of the Electoral Commission (EC).
In an interview with Asempa FM in Accra, the legislature elect, opined that recent occurrences on the political landscape, at times, make him weep for the defeated presidential candidate of the NPP.
“Sometimes I cry for Nana Addo because what began as an illustrious political career has suddenly ended up in a mess. Under Nana Addo’s leadership, the NPP brand has been heavily damaged and it is about time they ousted him,” the minister bluntly stated.
On that score, Mr Okudzeto Ablakwa challenged the executives of the NPP to produce evidence to buttress the allegations of fraud in the electoral process or forever hold their peace.
He said the NDC will continue to espouse good governance and implement viable policies to remove the bottlenecks hampering the socio-economic development of the nation.
The NPP has disputed the outcome of Friday’s polls and accused the EC and the NDC of electoral fraud.
