Member of Parliament (MP) for the Juaboso Constituency, Kwabena Mintah Akando has tagged President Akufo-Addo as an unfaithful leader for not crediting former President Dramani Mahama during the commissioning of the Ga East District hospital.
"President Akufo-Addo has not been faithful to Ghanaians because the manner in which he accounted for his (former President Mahama's) debts inherited must be the same way he should broadcast on his good works that brought about the debts he inherited," he said.
He added that "President Akufo-Addo must at all cost acknowledge former President John Dramani Mahama during the opening of the hospital because his tenure of governance completed over eighty per cent (80%) of work on the facility before the current government took over."
Speaking on UTV's 'Adekye Nsroma' political discussion programme with a vivid explanation on the said matter, the ranking member on health-related issues in Parliament noted that as politicians credit is their number one source of growth and President Akufo-Addo is very much aware-off that.
The President, Nana Akufo-Addo, has commissioned the 100-bed Ga East Municipal Hospital, which is part of the “Ghana Hospital Project” initiated by the Government of Ghana, in 2008, and executed by EUROGET De-Invest S.A of Egypt.
The Ga East hospital is the second hospital commissioned so far by President Akufo-Addo under the “Ghana Hospital Project”, following the 18th August 2019, the opening of the Upper West Regional Hospital, in Wa.
Speaking at the ceremony on Wednesday, November 6, 2019, the President commended EUROGET for completing the hospital a month ahead of schedule and urged them to do same with the other projects in Tepa, Twifo Praso, Konongo, Salaga, Nsawkaw and Kumasi Sewua.
