President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo has encouraged past and present students of Prempeh College to vote in support of the Vice Presidential Candidature of Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO).
If elected, Dr. Opoku will be the first alumni of the college to serve as the Vice President of the Republic. With a former student having previously served as president in the person of President John Agyekum Kufuor, the school is now poised to have an alum ascend to the Vice Presidency.
Speaking at the 75th Anniversary and Speech and Prize Giving Day of the school as the guest speaker, President Akufo-Addo reminded former and current students of the pride they will take in having their fellow alumnus as the Vice President of Ghana if they vote for his running mate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
The President praised Dr. Opoku Prempeh as a workaholic and an excellent politician who, alongside Dr. Bawumia, will address all the infrastructural challenges presented by the school.
"Let me conclude, by urging all of you to support the Vice Presidential candidature of one of your own, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the Member of Parliament for Manhyia South, the Man NAPO. A workaholic and an excellent politician, by voting for his running mate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. They together, will tackle all the needs the headmaster has mentioned, which requires extensive work but cannot be completed under the limited time left to me" he said.
