Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo, wife of the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, has appealed to Ghanaians to believe in the campaign promises of her husband Nana Akufo-Addo because they have “been well-thought out.”

According to her, the kind of development strategy being outlined by Nana Addo and the NPP is what Ghana needs to enhance the living conditions of the citizens.

Speaking during her campaign tour in various constituencies in the Greater Accra region, Mrs Akufo-Addo said Ghanaians must believe in her husband because he means well for the young oil-producing country.

Mrs Akufo-Addo met with the traditional leaders, traders at the Nungua Sookpoti Market, a group of widows and some other groups in the Krowor constituency, where she held fruitful discussions, solicited their support for the NPP, and assured them of the feasibility of all plans outlined by the NPP.

During her discussions with the traditional leaders, including, Nii Boketei Laweh Tsuru-Nungua Wulomor, Nii Okpelee Odeasempa II- Mbrante3hene,and Nii Okasakpi I-Laweh, Mrs. Akufo-Addo discussed issues of concern to them, including enhancing girl- child education, improving the fishing business, access to affordable credit, particularly for women, creation of jobs for the youth, improving quality and access to education, saying “these are issues, high on the agenda of the NPP for Ghana and the Ga communities and a Nana Addo-led government would ensure all these are implemented. So please let’s vote for Nana Addo and the NPP and we will deliver”.

Let’s work for change for the youth

At the Ningo-Prampram constituency, one of the largest constituencies in the Greater Accra region, Mrs Akufo-Addo visited some places of worship, spent some time with party faithful and constituents, and ended her visit by attending a community youth football tournament.

At the Porters City Prampram, the Divine Healers Church-New Ningo and the Emmanuel Presbyterian Church -Old Ningo, she urged the congregants to pray and work hard to ensure that Nana Addo and the NPP are elected in the first round of this year’s election.

Speaking at the community youth football tournament, she underscored the fact that this election is a fight for the future of the youth, and as a result it is incumbent upon them to spread the message of hope, which is a central theme of the Akufo-Addo campaign.
