Mrs. Patricia Christabel Kyerematen, the wife of the Movement for Change presidential candidate, Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen asserted that the flagbearer’s coming administration has no party manifesto but great transformational plans to remedy Ghana’s economic challenges when voted for in the 2024 general election.
According to her, a manifesto entails political parties’ unattainable promises. She states that Ghana's economic misfortunes require not a party manifesto but a pragmatic transformational plan by the visionary leader Alan John Kyerematen.
Addressing chiefs and community members in Akplabanya on a campaign tour to Sege Constituency in the Greater Region, she remembered that Ghana has not seen significant progress under the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and New Patriotic Party (NPP) governments in the last thirty-two years.
In outlining the party’s plans for fishing communities in the constituency, she assured “Alan’s vision is to construct a fishing harbor along the coast to curb tidal wave ravaging coastal communities and Akplabanya is a major beneficiary of this project.”
Coastline communities in the Sege Constituency: Akplabanya, Goi, and Lolonya have repeatedly experienced unexpected tidal waves that have displaced residents from their houses. Despite ample proof of the dire situation and several media stories, authorities have done nothing to fix the issue.
Mrs. Kyerematen further stated that the Movement for Change will provide the fishermen with outboard motors and a steady supply of premix fuel to alleviate their burden in their arduous quest for fuel.
Again, fishermen in this area frequently complain about the high price and inconsistent supply of premix fuel by the government, burdening their jobs and resulting in incurring losses.
Speaking on the former Minister of Trade's business strategy for the Sege Constituency, she stated that the constituency needs an ultra-modern market, which has already been planned, to alleviate the difficulty of fishmongers transporting items to markets in other districts and regions.
“Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen has in his transformational plan to construct a lorry station for business communities in the country and Akplabanya by your population and business will have a lorry station”, Mrs. Patricia Kyerematen assured.
Speaking about loan accessibility for Ghanaians, she stated that the Movement for Change has planned traders' loans for all enterprises across the country, rather than just a certain group or gender. She believes that both active and aspiring traders would take advantage of the interest-free loan to expand or establish their businesses, eliminating the burden of getting high-interest loans while also becoming financially independent.
Patricia Christabel Kyerematen is confident the former NPP presidential aspirant, Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen is capable of ending the economic woes of Ghanaians hence entreating the electorates in Sege Constituency to vote massively for the Movement for Change on December 7th.
