Following the official launch of the National Democratic Congress's (NDC) campaign in Tamale on Saturday, H.E. Alhaji Said Sinare, the immediate past National Vice Chairman and the current National Chairman of the Zongo Caucus Working Committee, paid courtesy visits to the Yoo Naa Palace and Gulkpe Naa's Palace.
He engaged in productive deliberations with the venerable paramount chiefs, soliciting their unwavering support and blessings for John Dramani Mahama's 2024 presidential candidacy.
Alhaji Sinare underscored the significance of their endorsement, given their profound influence and respected leadership within the region.
He assured them that the next NDC administration, led by John Dramani Mahama, would prioritize the holistic development and empowerment of the Northern Region, addressing pressing issues such as economic inequality, educational disparities, health inequities, employment opportunities, security concerns, and infrastructure deficits.
During his visit to the Yoo Naa Palace, the revered paramount chief entreated Alhaji Sinare to convey a message to Mahama, emphasizing the urgent need for irrigation dam construction in the Northern Region to ensure food security and address the plight of Ghanaian farmers if given the nod again.
Alhaji Sinare assured the paramount chiefs that the NDC flagbearer is committed to prioritizing regional development, unlocking the north's full potential, and securing Ghana's food sovereignty.
He reiterated the party's dedication to addressing the region's pressing issues and ensuring the necessary support for its growth and development after it was left underdeveloped under the administration of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
