Anane’s seat under siege

Three New Patriotic Party (NPP) stalwarts are said to be eyeing the seat of the former Road and Transport Minister, Dr Richard Anane, DAILY GUIDE has gathered.

Kennedy Kankam, Ashanti Regional Organiser of the NPP, Stephen Amoah aka ‘Sticker’ and a certain medical doctor at Daaban in Kumasi are maneuvering to replace Dr. Anane, the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for Nhyiaeso.

Dr. Anane recently declared his intentions to contest for the flagbearership position of the NPP for the 2016 general elections.

This pronouncement by Dr. Anane is believed to have encouraged the aspirants to take such measures.

Kennedy Kankam is said to have intensified his efforts to capture the Nhyiaeso seat.

But Stephen Amoah and the medical doctor have not been active in campaign.

Mr. Kankam, however, is reported to be campaigning vigorously behind the scenes to woo the NPP delegates to give him their mandate.

Mr. Kankam, according to reports, launched the campaign on a low key at his hometown, Adiebeba in the Nhyiaeso Constituency recently in order not to attract media attention.

He was said to have encourage the NPP delegates at Adiebeba to support his bid during the event.

According to reports, Mr. Kankam talks to the NPP delegates on a daily basis to support his bid.

Stephen Amoah refused to comment on the matter when contacted by DAILY GUIDE.
