Avoid divisive tendencies - NPP supporters urged

Adansi-Asokwa (Ash), Jan 8, GNA - Supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have been advised to avoid divisive tendencies and rather unite for the growth of the Party.

Mr Francis Gyebi, the NPP constituency chairman for the Adansi-Asokwa, said the party needed to be strengthened at all times and that acts that would bring division in the party should be avoided. In a New Year message to the people in the constituency, Mr Gyebi said unity in the NPP was paramount since it could entice non-members to join the party.

He particularly urged members of the party in the Adansi-Asokwa area to always use dialogue in solving any internal misunderstandings. He said he was happy that the constituency was witnessing concrete development and commended the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, Mr Kobina T. Hammond, and the District Chief Executive, Mr Peter Kwabena Ameyaw for the roles they had played in that direction.

Mr Gyebi said almost all the communities in the constituency had been connected to the national grid.

The Adansi North District Assembly was also springing up schools and boreholes in the communities.

Touching on the performance of the government, Mr Gyebi said the government of the NPP would not commit the mistakes the previous governments did which affected the economy of the country. He said that was why pragmatic policies and programmes were being implemented and appealed to the youth to exercise restraint and have confidence in the government.
