A future NPP government would establish a cashew processing facility in the Dormaa enclave of the Bono Region in order to stimulate industrialisation and economic development, National Chairman of the NPP, Stephen Ntim, has assured.
According to the National Chairman, the next NPP government under Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia would prioritise increasing Ghana's exports and reducing import dependence.
"The establishment of a cashew factory within the enclave will also promote overall economic development at the district level.
"It will further mark a significant step towards value addition in the agricultural sector, promoting economic growth, job creation, and sustainable development within the Dormaa enclave and beyond," Stephen Ntim added.
The National Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party made the promise during an interaction with cashew farmers in the region.
The Bono Region has a strong history in cashew farming, with nearly every household engaged in an agricultural activity.
Stephen Ntim is now leading a team of high-ranking party officials to seek votes for the NPP in the middle belt, which includes the Bono, Bono East, Ahafo, and Ashanti regions.
