Boahen launches campaign at Suaman

Mr. Kwabena Boahen Phillip, New Patriotic Party Parliamentary (NPP) candidate for Suaman, has launched a campaign at Dadieso to kick-start his electioneering.

A statement issued by Mr. Isaac Osei, Member of Parliament for Subin in Accra and copied to the Ghana News Agency on Thursday in Accra, said the NPP’s main objective for winning power is to improve upon the living standards of the people through a process of transformation.

He spoke against the use of insults and violence as tools for campaigning and urged supporters of the NPP to remain calm in the face of provocation by their opponents.

He said an Akufo-Addo led government would ensure that the people enjoy free Senior High School (SHS) education, improved health services and the restoration of the collapsed National Health Insurance Scheme, adding that employment generation through processing would be a key plank of the NPP programme.

Mr. Osei said the free SHS is so important that it is the NPP’s key policy in its manifesto, which is ready for implementation once voted into office.

He said: “Mr. Boahen, (aka ‘Daddiel’) the NPP candidate is young, intelligent and hardworking.

"Everyone in Suaman knows how well he has served the people, and he would continue to be a servant of the people.”

Mr. Boahen assured the people of his unflinching commitment and hard work to ensure victory in the 2012 elections.

He said the NPP would ensure that cocoa inputs are made available to farmers.
