As part of the #Operation1TouchForBawumia campaign, Boakye Agyarko has embarked on a two-day tour of the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam constituency in the Central Region, rallying support for the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and parliamentary candidate Dr. Rashid Kwesi Etuaful.
The tour, which ran from 14th to 15th October 2024, saw Agyarko visiting key communities within the constituency to engage with voters on the importance of electing capable and visionary leaders.
His message emphasized the critical role of the 2024 elections in shaping the future of Ghana.
Agyarko, who served as Energy Minister, stressed that Ghana deserves a leader with a clear vision and a genuine concern for its citizens.
He urged voters to carefully consider their choice of leadership, emphasizing that electing a president is a decision that impacts the country for the next four years.
“Ghanaians cannot afford to elect a leader based on last-minute handouts or temporary promises,” Agyarko stated.
“We must think about the policies that will truly uplift our country and secure a brighter future for the next generation.”
During his tour, Agyarko visited Ajumako Market, the Teachers Union, Ajumako Kokobin, and Ajumako Techiman on the first day.
On the second day, he made stops at Ajumako Kromaim, Ajumako Ochiso, Ajumako Baah, Ajumako Etumbil, Ajumako Onwane, Ajumako Mando, and Ampia Ajumako.
In his interactions with residents, Agyarko highlighted the NPP's achievements, such as the Free Senior High School (SHS) program, the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), and the recent double increment in cocoa prices.
He noted that these initiatives had positively impacted many lives and urged voters to support the NPP to ensure the continuation of such transformative policies.
“These are just a few examples of how the NPP has worked to improve the lives of Ghanaians,” he said.
“We cannot afford to lose the progress we’ve made by electing a different government.”
Agyarko rallied voters to cast their ballots for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as president and Dr. Rashid Kwesi Etuaful as Member of Parliament for Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam.
He underscored that both candidates are committed to continuing the NPP's development agenda, ensuring prosperity and growth for the constituency and the nation at large.
"Dr. Bawumia and Dr. Etuaful are the right leaders to steer the country and this constituency towards greater development. I urge you to support them with a resounding one-touch victory in the upcoming elections," Agyarko concluded.
As the campaign intensifies, Boakye Agyarko’s tour serves as a rallying cry for voters in the Central Region, reminding them of the NPP’s track record and the importance of making informed choices at the polls.
