The former Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, Bernard Allotey Jacobs, has predicted who the next president of Ghana will be after the December polls.

Speaking on the August 7, 2024, edition of Peace FM’s Kokrokoo, Allotey Jacobs predicted that the Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris, will win the elections, drawing a comparison to Ghana’s Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who is also a vice president.

“My statement is simple. An American vice president will soon be the president of America; so is Ghana having a vice president who will soon be the president of Ghana,” he said.

Providing insight into why some Ghanaians have endorsed Dr. Bawumia despite the government’s poor record among the masses, Allotey opined that Dr. Bawumia is the future and has the potential to overturn the fortunes of the economy.

“I believe that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is not the past; he is the future. Most of the things he says are the reason why some of us believe in him. When someone is trying to deceive you, Dr Bawumia can make you see through such lies for you to have a clear state of mind. That is the kind of person we are looking for,” he posited.
