CPP Launches International Campaign

The UK & Ireland Branch of the Convention People?s Party (CPP), charged with the responsibility by the CPP?s Central Committee with coordinating the affairs of all International Branches of the CPP has launched the International Campaign of the CPP in London on 14th July 2004.

The Campaign is to be spearheaded by the International Campaign Coordinating Committee for the CPP, to be known as ?IC4? . IC4 comprises of a core 12 person committee chiefly drawn from US and UK members and chaired by Mr B. Osei, an Executive member of the UK Branch.

In launching the campaign, IC4 urged the Hackney Black People?s Association, The African Liberation Support Campaign (ALISC), the GPAC Organizing Committee, the 8th PAC organizing Committee, the Nkrumahist Forum ? the Internet based global network of Nkrumaists, all black and progressive organizations in the UK, US, Europe, and historic friends on the African continent to support and work towards a CPP victory in the 2004 elections in Ghana. IC4 asked all the organizations to rally sister organizations, to rally neighbours and neighbours neighbours, to rally friends and friends of friends, to leave no stone unturned in seeking international support for the CPP.

It said the Aims and Objectives of the CPP remain true to its roots and now was the time for all progressives everywhere to come to the aid of the CPP, to help restore hope to millions of Ghanaians and fellow Africans on the continent.

IC4?s Chairman said ? The International process to re-connect the CPP to its traditional friends and allies has began in earnest, and we believe that this will help us to victory in December?
