Flagbearer of the Convention People's Party (CPP), Nana Akosua Frimpomaa Sarpong Kumankumah, has called on the youth to vote for the CPP in the upcoming election, emphasising the party’s vision for economic transformation and youth empowerment.

During a courtesy call on the Adentahene of Akuapeman on Friday, December 6, 2024, she reiterated her commitment to rescuing Ghana from its economic challenges and delivering prosperity to its citizens.

"Only one policy can transform this country. We've all heard about the big factories that were in this country before; this was because we had a leader who was passionate about the needs of Ghanaians.

"It's been 32 years since all these factories collapsed; I am here with one mission to rescue Ghana and deliver prosperity to the youth. I am asking the youth to rally behind the CPP," she noted.

Nana Frimpomaa pledged to revive the industrial sector by building new factories, which would create employment opportunities for the youth.

“We want to give ownership back to the youth. No foreigner will be given a concession; they will have to partner with a Ghanaian. We are bringing back the jobs, and that is the only way," she explained.

Drawing attention to the high cost of transportation and the broader economic crisis, Nana Frimpomaa promised equitable distribution of resources, stating that factory investments would ensure every Ghanaian benefits directly.

She cited the Komenda Sugar Factory as an example of a venture that should prioritise local ownership and engagement.

Additionally, Nana Frimpomaa outlined a CPP government’s plan to modernise agriculture, describing traditional farming methods as outdated and inhumane.

She advocated for investments in peasant farming similar to those in cocoa farming, ensuring that no farmer is burdened with marketing responsibilities.

“A farmer is not a marketing person,” she said, stressing the need for the government to facilitate the transportation of farm produce.

With these policies, she has appealed to the youth to rally behind the CPP, promising a future of jobs, prosperity, and economic inclusivity under her leadership.
