The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, has voiced serious concerns regarding the possibility of John Dramani Mahama becoming president.
According to Chairman Wontumi, if Mahama is elected, he would spend his first two years appointing ministers and scrutinising the previous government's record, rather than addressing critical national issues.
In the third year, Chairman Wontumi stated, Mahama would implement only minor policies and development projects. However, in the fourth year, he claimed, Mahama would allegedly embezzle public funds, asserting that the NDC flagbearer has “nothing good to offer Ghanaians.”
“In his third year, Mahama would focus on implementing minor development projects, but his final year in office would be marred by embezzlement of state funds,” Chairman Wontumi alleged.
Addressing party supporters at the Subin Constituency following a health walk, Chairman Wontumi strongly urged all Ghanaians to reject John Dramani Mahama, stating that he has nothing beneficial to offer the nation.
He further encouraged the constituents of Subin to turn out in large numbers to vote massively for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the NPP Parliamentary Candidate, Lawyer Obiri Yeboah, to ensure the party remains in power to continue its developmental work.
In his remarks, the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Subin, Lawyer Obiri Yeboah, pledged to work diligently to foster development within the constituency and urged constituents to support him and the NPP flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, with their votes.
Meanwhile, the health walk and campaign event, which saw a substantial turnout, was attended by several notable figures, including former Ashanti Regional Minister Mr. S.K. Boafo and former Subin MP Hon. Isaac Osei, alongside numerous party leaders and supporters.
