Chief congratulates Regional Minister

Kadjebi (V/R), March 17, GNA - Nana Ogyeabour Akompi Finam II, Omanhene of Kadjebi Traditional Area has congratulated the new Volta Regional Minister, Mr Kofi Dzamesi for his elevation to the highest office of the region.

He was optimistic that his experience as a former Deputy Regional Minister in the last four years would guide him to administer the region in a manner devoid of fear or favour.

Nana Finam made the remark when Mr Dzamesi paid a courtesy call on him at his palace at Kadjebi on Wednesday.

He appealed to the Regional Minister to use his good offices to facilitate the upgrading of the Kadjebi Clinic, which was constructed in 1981 to a modern District hospital.

0 Nana Finam further called on the Minister to facilitate the construction of the Kadjebi-Jinijini and the Worawora-Kadjebi roads and the improvement of telephone facilities in the district. He said the absence of these facilities was making life unbearable for the people and called for urgency in tackling the problem. Nana Finam on behalf of the people pledged their support to the government for an accelerated economic growth and development of the area.

Mr Dzamesi promised to continue with all projects initiated by his predecessor and also initiate new ones. He urged all tribes in the Kadjebi Traditional Area to support the Omanhene to ensure peaceful co-existence and accelerated development.
