A former member of the Media Analysts Group, affiliated to the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Paapa Bissue has called for the dissolution of the group.
He said that, his call for the dissolution was based on the fact that monies and incentives meant for members of the Media Analysts Group are allegedly pocketed by few greedy individuals.
Other reasons are that vehicles meant for members of the group were diverted to friends and families through fake names provided by some of the top executives.
Paapa Bissue, who is also an executive member of the Alajo ward of the NDC in the Central Ayawaso constituency of the Greater Accra Region, said his quest for the group to be dissolved came to the fore after another group named the Media Warrior was formed without their prior notice.
He accused the Media Analysts Group of only working to favour a few in the NDC.
He explained that the main aim of the group is to call into political radio programmes to share views and help in analysing the intellectual group, which is the youth forum.
He said Alfred Kojo Triddles formed Media Warrior, but he still attended a couple of their meetings and realised the group had a similar agenda like that of the Media Analysts Group.
Paapa Bissue explained he later noticed that the group was formed for the parochial interest of some members, hence his call for a united front.
He revealed he started that appeal by first meeting Richard Quashigah and Kofi Adams to intervene in uniting the two groups.
He confessed he then began to drum into the ears of members for a change of leadership, which could lead to the empowerment of members, so a series of meetings were held to that effect.
Paapa Bissue said he petitioned for the dissolution about four years ago, but he held on just because election was around the corner and selling their message to Ghanaians would have been impeded.
He said he was called a fraudster and was sacked, and was never invited to date.
Paapa further explained why he left the group, saying in one of their meetings Dr Hannah Bissiw showed up pointing fingers at him for mentioning her name on the airwaves, and though he debunked it because he didn’t do such, he left the group because he could not be a stooge for somebody’s parochial interest.
He went further to admit the Media Analysts Group is full of innocent and hardworking guys and must be dissolved because he thinks the infusion of the group with another group, namely the Media Warrior, and some of its executives, makes the group lack credibility and, therefore, cannot speak on the airwaves on behalf of the party. Therefore, he is calling for the group to be dissolved and be reorganised with other callers’ group.
