Daavi Ama dedicates B’day to Aliu Mahama

Former National Treasurer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Madam Gifty Ama Asantewaa Ayeh, popularly called ‘Daavi Ama’ turned 66 years old yesterday Friday, August 30.

Daavi, as she is fondly called, is a founding member of the NPP and she dedicated her birthday to the memory of former Vice President, Alhaji Aliu Mahama of blessed memory.

She also dedicated the day to all peace loving Ghanaians especially members of the NPP for peacefully accepting the Supreme Court verdict although it was not in the party’s favour.

Though Daavi held a low-key birthday just for her household and close relatives, she had a couple of big shots turning up to wish her a happy birthday.

Among the several persons who passed through to take a bite of Daavi’s birthday cake included Hajia Rhamatu Mahama, widow of Alhaji Aliu Mahama, Member of Parliament for Aburi-Nsawam, O.B. Amoah, Ohene Ntow, Dr Nyaho Tamakloe, Abubakar Sulaeman Lakulaku, Coordinator of NPP, Nasaara Club and Boye Laryea, among others.

Daavi has over the years remained a friend of the media and written columns and articles for several newspapers under the byline, Daavi Ama, Dimples Junction. She was a member of the National Media Commission (NMC).
