A security situation is developing at the Greater Accra Regional Collation Centre as hundreds of supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) gather at the location.

The NDC supporters have stormed the place in protest of what they believe to be an attempt to rig the polls by the Electoral Commission.

The confusion has arisen over disagreements between the two parties regarding results from Okaikwei Central, Dome-Kwabenya, and Ablekuma North.

While the number of supporters continues to rise rapidly, security presence is also being increased to ensure that the situation is contained.

Some leading figures of the NDC, including Sam George, Dr. Peter Boamah Otukonor, and Malik Basintele, have been spotted at the regional collation centre.

The NPP is also represented by Frank Davies and Anthony Karbo.

The confusion comes amid calls for the Electoral Commission to start announcing results from across the country.

So far, the EC has collated results from 13 regions, with the Ashanti Region being the only region yet to be collated.
