Former Deputy Minister of health under the erstwhile President Kufuor’s administration, Hon. Abraham Dwuma-Odoom, is accusing the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of laying claim to projects initiated by the Kufuor administration.

Such a practice, he explains, is unhealthy for our body politics as it amounts to intellectual dishonesty and palpable falsehood.

One of such projects , he indicates the NDC is claiming credit for is the Twifo Praso District Hospital in the Twifo Atti Morkwa district in the Central region as the NDC has even gone ahead to include it in the list of their projects in the famous “Green book”.

Hon. Dwuma-Odoom explained that the NPP government sought funding of $339m from Turkey for the project in the year 2007.

He added that parliamentary approval was even sought for the project with the financiers and contractors on site to begin the construction before the party exited power in the year 2008.

He added that he was even mandated by the the then minister of health, Late Courage Quarshiga to lead the delegation to Turkey to complete the negotiation and signing of the contract for the construction of the hospital.

He therefore described as palpable falsehood claims by the NDC especially the Minister in charge of health Alex Segbefia that the said hospital is the brain child of the ruling NDC administration.

He also accused the NDC of double standards as even the late President Mills wanted to divert the hospital to his home district which is Ekumfi.
