‘Don’t destroy Alan’s future’

Sumani Abdulkarim, aka Lord Ziko, who defected from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Techiman South constituency to the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has advised the supporters of Alan Kyeremanteng, who is vying for the flagbearership slot, to avoid insults because their actions could destroy the career of the aspirant.

Lord Ziko disclosed this to DAILY GUIDE in an exclusive interview at Sunyani Polytechnic where Nana Akufo-Addo met constituency executive members of the NPP in the Brong Ahafo Region.

According to Lord Ziko, Nana Akufo-Addo would definitely win the flagbearership position and capture power for the NPP in 2016.

If Nana decides not to contest after 2016, Alan Kyeremanten could win but due to the conduct of supporters of Alan, he will not attract sympathy votes from party members. Instead of insulting Nana Akufo-Addo in their bid to win votes for Alan, they should rather look beyond 2016 because Nana for 2016 is a done deal, he said.

He also charged supporters of the NPP to start vigorous campaigning to win power to save Ghanaians from economic hardship.

Lord Ziko, an accountant, said Ghanaians were suffering because of the pervasive corruption under the John Dramani Mahama administration.

Since a dying bull kicks wildly, the NDC will try to use violent acts to intimidate NPP supporters, who would retaliate, and that would not augur well for the stability of the country in general.

According to him, the 2016 election is so crucial, but the NPP has lost confidence in the Supreme Court because of what happened when the party petitioned the highest court of the land. This time around the watchword is vigilance.
