Vice President of Ghana, who also serves as the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has announced that the Member of Parliament (MP) for Karaga Constituency, who also serves as the Finance Minister, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, will be retained at the Finance Ministry if he is elected President on December 7.
According to the NPP Flagbearer, the Karaga MP has proven himself to be competent and one of the best Finance Ministers Ghana has ever had.
"He is one of the best Finance Ministers we have had in the country. I am going to retain him when I become President, not because he is from the north, but because he is competent and has demonstrated his capabilities."
He made these statements on Tolon radio during his visit to the Tolon constituency as part of his tour of the Northern region.
Dr. Bawumia urged Ghanaian voters to choose him over former President John Dramani Mahama, citing Mahama's previous term as President where he was unable to solve the country's problems, leading to his removal from office.
"When you vote for me, I will serve you for 8 years, but Mahama will only serve for 4 years. I have introduced 33 policies as Vice President, while Mahama cannot name a single policy he initiated during his time as Vice President. Therefore, I am the best choice to continue the good work of the NPP for the benefit of the country."
He emphasized that the NPP government has had a positive impact on the lives of Ghanaians through various developmental policies nationwide and encouraged Ghanaians to vote overwhelmingly for the NPP to secure another term and continue the transformation agenda for the betterment of the country.
