The first Vice Chair of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Eastern region, Alhaji Omar Bodinga, says the new logo created by the Electoral Commission of Ghana is demonic and satanic.

He said he has a special gift from God which enables him read the meaning of symbols and to tell what they stand for.

It is based on this special gift that Alhaji Bodinga said he was able to determine the new EC logo is satanic.

The Electoral Commission of Ghana has outdoored a new logo which has been heavily criticized by a section of the Ghanaian public.

Alhaji Omar Bodinga, contributing to a panel discussion on TOP FM’s morning show hosted by Ekourba Gyasi on Friday, said “this logo is evil and demonic.”

“Am telling you my brother that this new logo is demonic,” he emphasized to Ekourba Gyasi.

The Deputy General Secretary of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Asani Tanoh, also confirmed the assertion by Alahji Bodinga by stating that, “yes it is true this logo is demonic.”

Mr. Asani expressed shock at the EC’s decision to take away the Coat of Arms which was part of the previous logo.

“The Coat of Arms expresses who we are as a country," he said and added, “I cannot understand why the EC has taken it out.”

But Jacob Adongo, a member of the government’s communications team said the assertions by Asani Tanoh and Alahji Bodinga are unfounded.

He said it cannot be true that the symbols of the logo are demonic and satanic and further called for scientific evidence.
