With a year and half into the 2020 Parliamentary elections, residents of Ejisu constituency are calling on its Member of Parliament Owusu Aduomi whom they describe his unwavering commitments in various words as 'honest, compassionate, selfless and hardworking' not to 'desert' them but to make up his mind for re-elections as the 2020 parliamentary primaries draws nigh, according to a report by mynewsghana.

In a manner which will occur to any ordinary reasonable mind as an act of 'importuning' or literally 'begging' the accomplished Engineer and deputy Minister of roads and Highways , residents of various suburbs and towns in the constituency shared their good thoughts about their empathetic, benevolent, industrious and fellow feeling member of Parliament to our regional correspondent, Mark K Awudu.

A constituent who identified herself as Constance Opoku Mensah narrated how when the world turned against her, Honorable Owusu Aduomi assisted herself and her daughter to rise from Senior High School to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

'For me, I think that our member of parliament is a Godsent who is so humbling, down to earth and the one uniqueness of him is not seeking attention for himself. I lost my cattles that I reared to a torrential rain in 2015. It was my sole source of livelihood for me and my family. My neighbor took me to Honorable Aduomi and after I told him my problem, he cheerfully gave me a helping hand', said Alhaji Salifu Adamu.

"Honorable Owusu Aduomi is a member of parliament who is so thoughtful about us, his constituents. Even though official Parliamentary work is in Accra, his closeness to us is as if parliament is in Ejisu. He attends to our welfare ranging from educational needs, jobs, economic and social affairs. Eversince 2008 which I've known Honorable Owusu Aduomi, he hasn't changed and he remains as retiring and not seeking attention for himself like ever. He has proven to us that, he is the person we can entrust the destiny of Ejisu Constituency into his hands," said a Teacher, Mr Benedict Aggrey.

"Where we're now at this crossroad, Ejisu Constituency can not afford to lose Honorable Owusu Aduomi. He is a very fine gentleman who has been there and served the Dombo-Busia-Danquah tradition in varied capacities. In the NPP's era of opposition, Honorable Aduomi brought his expertise to bear as the ranking member of roads and transport committee.

There, he served with diligence and uncommon patriotism. He is a nationalist with a 'fellow feeling' traits. We rather need him to continue his good works, the NPP and President Akufo-Addo need his experiences for the achievement of the 'Ghana Beyond Aid agenda' said another Minister of this government who pleaded anonymity.

Other representations made by other various residents in the Ejisu constituency suggest similar narrative captured above. The tenure of Honorable Owusu Aduomi, statistics suggest has improved on the voting strength of NPP Ejisu constituency in both parliamentary and presidential elections since 2008.

The Ejisu constituency is noted to be one of the top powerful constituencies which contributes in substantial number of votes for the New Patriotic Party and President Akufo-Addo.
