Election 2024: It is an insult to present yourselves to Ghanaians – Kofi Koranteng to NPP, NDC

An Independent presidential hopeful for the 2024 general elections, Kofi Koranteng, has criticised the two major political parties in the country, namely the New Patriotic Party and the National Democratic Congress.

According to him, it is an insult to Ghanaians for these parties to present themselves as soliciting their votes despite their poor record in the past years.

During an engagement with Ghanaians on X Space organised by TV3 on July 6, Kofi Koranteng asserted, “They [NPP and NDC] should not even present themselves for President because they have failed Ghanaians."

He argued that the two parties, after 32 years of alternating rule, have continually worsened the country’s situation.

“I think it's an insult, and the reason it's an insult is because they know they can’t cut it. We have given them the chance for 32 years and they have not been able to do anything.

“For 32 years, both NPP and NDC have been in the same Parliament, and all the decisions have been taken by both of them at the same time, and they are both responsible for the failures and degeneration we are experiencing now,” 3news.com quoted Kofi Koranteng.

Propagating his ideologies and vision to Ghanaians, Kofi Koranteng said his government would change the constitution, eradicate corruption, and institute a national development plan for the next 50 years.

“If you think otherwise, then you are not paying attention or you are just a liar. You are in denial; tell me where the success is at,” he added.

“We are presenting a totally new Ghana agenda to Ghanaians. We are going to change the constitution, we are going to eradicate corruption, and then institute a national development plan for the next 50 years and then four years increment,” he explained.
