EVALUE AJOMORO GWIRA NDC ELECTIONS DIRECTORATES FIGHTS MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT HON. K.T KESSIE AGAINST ILLEGAL DISMISSAL.
We the undersigned aggrieved members of the Evalue Ajomoro Gwira elections directorates in the western region wishes to register our deepest dissatisfaction against a supposed childish and premature attempts by the member of parliament Hon.Kweku Tanikye Kessie to deny us the opportunity of serving our party dispassionately.
The MP instead using his office to unite all members and non-members of the party so as to help retain his rather takes luxury of promoting hatred, bitterness, segregation,
tension and apathy among members especially those who didn't support his bid during the recently held primaries.
Hon Kessie with his penchant and weak leadership lifestyle of going round to sell himself to the people is rather interested in conniving with some disgruntled and failed executives to orchestrate and mastermind the premature termination of our roles as duly appointed Elections Directorates of the party in the constituency.
We,after going through the due process by passing the laid down procedures such as interviews conducted by a team from the Regional NDC office, the MP want to secretly condone with opportunist and money-conscious individuals who don't have the party at heart to thwart our legally mandated duties in the party with the flimsy excuse that some of the us didn't support his candidature during the recently held primaries.
This move by Hon. Kesssie is premature and ought to be condemned and wish to draw the attention of the rank and file of the party to call the MP to order and charge him to work hard to help win the seat.
Background
It could be recalled that eleven party members were nominated in June 2015,where seven were successfully selected in August 2015 after several considerations by the Appointment Committee from the Regional wing of the party. After the whole process, one of us was also appointed as the head of the directorate's activities in terms of internal elections.
This directorate was in charge of the party's exhibition exercise prior to the party primaries and the primaries without any payment or incentive to us which we never complained, since we deemed it as a sacrifice and great opportunity to serve our party.
There have been many instances we had to finance our operations as Elections Directorate without any help from the and the constituency executives.
An intelligence we gathered before the primaries which has manifested was a purported promised made by the MP to his then campaign team was that,he will remove all who didn't support his bid and reward his followers with such positions.
This supposed unwarranted position is been aided by the chairman and some executives to remove some of the constituency elections directorate who were not his camp and formed new team,a move which is very unlawful and illegal.
We ask that:
1.Does the NDC party constitution states reference to a member of parliament having legal backing to dissolve a constituency elections team?
2.Who is obliged to sponsor the activities of the constituency elections directorate.
3.Has it gotten to the point where an MP chooses who to work with or to work with?considering the crucial elections ahead of us.
4.We wish to ask Hon.Kessie of his contributions to the party's activities since 2013 to date?
5.Why is he making all moves to remove the MCE forgetting that it is his face which will be on the ballot box and that of the president?
6.When is he going to start his thank you tour?is he going with"Joy Daddy"total pack as his thank you gift?As he did in 2012 after the people of constituency gave him the mandate.
We urge Hon Kessie to be more serious and sit up as well as focus on uniting all rather than scattering the true loyalists of the party due his weak leadership lifestyle.
He is also tasked to refrain from making all moves to cause tension in the party since 2014,since we are aware of all his plans to foment tension in the party in the constituency.
Finally,we call on Hon.Kessie to think of branding himself to appeal to the electorates of the constituency, he should remember his victory in 2012 was not based on his personality but won because of the NDC party and must not think it will be rosy for him this time.
We are sure President John Dramani Mahama will win massively in the constituency but from our gatherings it is the otherwise with regards to the parliamentary seat.
Evalue Gwira deserves better.
Long live NDC
Long live Ghana
