In 2017, founder of Ghana Freedom Party, Akua Donkor alleged that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was after her life for reasons unknown.

She furthered that the president had on several occasions ordered assassins to kill her but their attempts proved futile, making her live in fear.

She made these allegations at the burial service of the late Major Mahama who met his untimely death at Denkyira-Obuasi.

Akua Donkor, founder of the failed Ghana Freedom Party has said that President Nana Akufo-Addo wants to assassinate her for reasons she knows nothing of.

Akua Donkor who was disappointed after her party was taken out of the election in 2016 in an interview after the burial Major Maxwell Mahama said “Akufo-Addo wants to kill me, he has sent assassins to come and kill me on several occasions but they have failed.

The known follower of former President Mahama said the President is responsible for the death of Major Maxwell Mahama because he sent him to Denkyira-Obuasi where he met his untimely death.

“The death of Maxwell Mahama should be blamed on Akufo-Addo. He killed the young man. He sent him there and he told his DCE and other government people to kill him and they killed him.”

She challenged the President to take her to court or she will take him to court for taking the life of the young Army Major.
