Former Yagaba-Kubori MP to head NSS

Credible information reaching the political desk of abusuafmonline.com indicates former Member of Parliament for Yagaba-Kubori is most likely to be appointed as the next Executive Director of the National Service Scheme (NSS).

Mustapha Yussif who was a one term member of parliament for Yagaba-Kubori constituency is likely to succeed Dr. Micheal Kpessa-whyte at the National Service Secretariat after he failed to make it back to parliament in the just ended polls.

Yussif, who hails from Tantala in the Northern Region of Ghana had his Secondary education at the Salaga Secondary School. He later continued at Bagabaga Teacher training College from 1998 – 2001.

He then taught at Watania JSS for some time and later went to Anglia Ruskin University at Chelmsford in UK to study BA (Hon) in International Business Management from 2007 – 2010.

He again undertook an Executive Program in Management Development at the University of Wales and also holds MBA in finance with distinction from the University of Gloucesterhire in UK. He also worked as a freelance consultant to Action Aid UK and was an active member of the Mines and Energy Committee of the 6th Parliament of the 4th Republic.

Mustapha who is believed to have lost the Yagaba-Kubori seat to the current member of parliament for the area and the outgone Hajj Board Chairman, Ibrahim Tanko due to lack of resources is perceived to be humble and very hardworking.

The President is is likely to officially announce his appointment before the end of the month
