Frank Kwadwo Duodu files nomination to contest Subin primary

Frank Kwadwo Duodu, one of the aspiring NPP parliamentary candidates in the Subin constituency has filed his nomination papers with less pomp and pageantry.

Storming the party office Wednesday morning with about 10 members of his campaign, the Kumasi metro director for the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) submitted his forms to the constituency secretary, Mr Akuamoah Boateng.

Wearing a pink shirt on top of a pair of black trousers with his clear spectacles to spice up his dressing, the confident looking NPP man took time to reveal contents of the brown envelope he was holding.

Showing to the cameras the bankers draft of the amount stipulated for the filing, the NADMO director also presented the requisite certificates to show his qualification.

Accepting the forms, the constituency secretary commended the aspirant for fulfilling the requirements of the New Patriotic Party.

He noted that the rules of the contest had been clearly spelt out, adding that it was encouraging to see all five persons who have picked nomination forms accept to abide by same.

Mr Boateng told the Ghanaian Observer newspaper that out of the five persons who had picked nomination forms only four had returned and filed same to show their readiness for the next process.

He noted that one Villey Acheampong was yet to file but added that the deadline for close of filing of nomination was today.

He said it was time to have someone who can best identify with the challenges at the constituency to become the Member of Parliament.

This, he posited would afford residents the opportunity to see the kind of development they want to see in the constituency.

The Subin constituency, Mr Duodu intimated have not gotten the kind of attention they deserve from government and reiterated his desire to provide the kind of leadership that would lobby for development projects for the famous constituency.

“I am ready to serve and to provide the kind of leadership that would lobby for development projects for this constituency so that we can be proud as a people”, Mr Duodu stressed to loud cheers from his team.
