Fellow Patriots, The new pressure group, Get Alan Kyerematen Elected (GAKE) which was formed recently in Kumasi, would be having its maiden meeting on Sunday, May 4, 2014 in Kumasi between 2pm and 5pm. Currently, 100 NPP delegates in Ashanti Region have shown interest and registered.
Other Regions have also recorded similar impressive numbers. For security reasons, the meeting place cannot be disclosed in public for now. All registered and new members who intend to participate in this maiden meeting should kindly call me on any of my three (3) mobile numbers: 0202471070; 0547851100; 0264931361.
Brethren, as you know the NPP is at crossroads to salvage millions of Ghanaians from the incompetent NDC administration led by John Mahama. We have presented a Candidate we thought was best suited to retain power for our beloved party in Election 2008. However, Nana Akufo-Addo failed to that in spite of our impressive record in government. We, the delegates, thought it wise to give him a second chance as we did for Candidate Kufuor in 1998.
Regrettably, it turned out to be disastrous. Nana Addo lost to a new Candidate in the person of John Mahama, who used only three (3) months to beat him "one touch" with over 300,000 votes difference. John Mahama will definitely be competing in Election 2016 as an incumbent president. This time around he will not only use three months to campaign, but forty-eight solid months (4years). Again, the records also show that no incumbent president has lost during his second term since 1992. Could Nana Addo overturn 300,000 votes and beat John Mahama this time around?
Looking at Nana Addo's age (72years), financial constraints, disintegration in the party, consistent losses, and other forces working against him such as personality traits, some of us envisage that a new Candidate with fresh blood is needed to challenge John Mahama. That new Candidate must have exceptional qualities that meet the demands of the Ghanaian voter. These include, but not limited to beauty, stature, competence, trust, and perception.
Our new Candidate must be handsome, affable, tall, giant, calm, gentle, good looking, humble, competent, and selfless. For those of us who have joined GAKE, we see that John Alan Kyerematen (JAK the second) does not only meet the above criteria, but he is a visionary and very experienced leader. Alan is cast in the mould of John Agyekum Kufuor (JAK the first), who won power on two occasions for the NPP.
Indeed, if the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is desirous of winning power in 2016, then it is incumbent upon the NPP delegates to give Alan Cash the nod as the party's Flagbearer. It is thus imperative for us to team up and talk to the delegates, convince them on the need to make a rational choice, a choice that would have a positive impact on the future of our beloved party.
For us, several questions could arise from Nana Addo's intention to contest the presidency for the third time running, but one question that is paramount is, what did Nana Addo forget to do in 2008 and 2012 that he wants to do in 2016? Is he going to say that he won the elections on two occasions, but the verdicts were all stolen from him? If that was the case, then what ammunitions is Nana Addo going to use against the same 'thief' who will be 'stealing' his 'political victory' in 2016? If when Nana Addo was a bit younger and stronger, he could not apprehend the 'thief'. Now that he is 72 years, can Nana Addo run after, let alone arrest the 'thief'?
Folks, let's develop maturely in politics and think about NPP and Ghana. Let's replace Nana Addo as we did to Jake Lamptey and Sir John with 'Winnable Candidates" like Alan K., Afoko, and Kwabena Agyapong. Admittedly, Nana Addo is popular, but he has proven to be a popular loser and not a popular winner. The NPP does not need a popular loser.
On this note, let me say a big thank you for calling and attending the GAKE maiden meeting in advance! We look forward to meeting you on Sunday. Think Alan! Think Victory!! GAKE; One more change for power!
