Deputy General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Obiri Boahen has asked the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to stop making ugly noise in the country.
According to him, the country is not a property of the NDC where they decide with their own agenda to warrant a bandwagon with ugly noise which has the potential to derail the country’s progress.
The astute Lawyer’s outburst seems to have necessitated by former Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah’s response to Manhyia revealing that it appealed to the losing candidate of the 2016 election.
The former Chief of Staff has denied claims that his boss, former President John Dramani Mahama, was impressed upon by Manhyia Palace to accept defeat in the 2016 elections.
According to Mr Julius Debrah, this claim is not supported by the facts.
In a public statement Sunday, he said Mr Mahama willingly accepted defeat and congratulated then-candidate Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
‘Ghana must move on without the ‘usual nonsense’ of the NDC. Ghana is not owned by the NDC where they wake up every morning and politicize every serious issue. This useless nonsense must stop, Nana Obiri Boahen told Kwame Tutu on Anopa Nkomo on Accra based Kingdom FM 107.7.
He asked Ghanaians not to take the NDC serious because they have nothing good to offer to the country and its people.
