Ghana needs a new dimension of leadership – Nana Addo

The Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has cautioned that the only way to bring prosperity and development to Ghana is through a new dimension of leadership .

Addressing party supporters at the Koforidua Jackson Park in the Eastern Region, Nana Akufo-Addo mentioned that together with his running mate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, that sort of leadership will be realised for the rapid transformation of the nation.

The NPP Presidential candidate promised his government was going to fix the economy which had been suffering for most part of the 3 years of the NDC rule.

He said: “Right now, our money has lost its value and its part of the reasons why I chose Bawumia to partner me so we work on the cedi so that it will be of value. This will help boost businesses for us to make profits. Also when we get paid, we will know that we have money in our pockets.”

According to the Presidential hopeful, if Ghana had a government which had foresight and plans to develop the nation, “most of the products we import from outside could have been manufactured here in Ghana to create jobs and employment opportunities for the youth.”

“The NDC [National Democratic Congress] claim there is no money in Ghana but the NDC Ministers and other government officials are spending our money indiscreetly. The money given to Woyome, is it not our money? Can’t we use that money for something better? We can; the money is there and so we will come and use it judiciously to protect Ghanaians. We won’t use it on unnecessary payments like false judgement debts and paying fraudulent claims against the state.”
