The Minority Leader in Parliament, Mr. Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu says Ghanaians are counting on the New Patriotic Party(NPP) to come into government and liberate them from the economic hardships created by the mismanagement of the Mahama-administration.
To this end, he’s urged the NPP to take bold steps to ensure they wrestle power from the NDC in the November 7 elections.
“It is for us to identify, and reflect on critical issues in specific constituencies and regions relating to the strength and weakness of the party and accordingly fashion out strategies to confront that challenge in order for us to liberate this country from the hunger, thirst, joblessness, the high electricity tariffs, the mismanagement of the economy which is contributing to the collapse of industries in the country,” he told parliamentary candidates of the NPP at a retreat in Koforidua.
The retreat which had in attendance National Executives, Regional Executives and running mate to the Flagbearer, Dr. Mahammudu Bawumia was scheduled to strategize towards the November 7, polls.
The meeting comes barely 48hrs after, Nana Addo completed the first phase of his Volta regional tour.
The Flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party(NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo also urged the gathering to work towards mobilizing every resource at their disposal to ensure victory in the November polls.
“The victory of the NPP later this year is a historic necessity,” he noted, adding “We need to put the nation back on the path of a brighter future.”
