The Spokesperson of the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Benjamin Gyewu-Appiah popular known as Benghazi says from all the indications, it means Ghanaians are yearning for his boss, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong to return to the political screens.

The NPP's Lawmaker, Kennedy Agyapong early this year announced to his constituents his decision to quit active politics due to the maltreatment and sabotages by his own colleagues MPs in government.

He accused his government (Akufo-Addo government) of neglecting his own media houses (Oman FM and Net 2 TV) for not inviting the stations to juicy government events.

Kennedy Agyapong who has been representing the NPP and Akufo-Addo government on Adom TV every Tuesday to defend his NPP party has ceased to appear on the show.

In a statement issued by the Loyalists of Kennedy Agyapong (LOKA) and signed by its President, copied to the media, Benghazi revealed that "ever since Hon. Kennedy Agyapong went on sabbatical leave from active political discourses, the political landscape has witnessed a sudden downpour coupled with uninspiring debates".

He added that "The day he decided to lay down his tools from defending the NPP, the strength of our communication has one way or the other reduced since no one in our party could deal with the evil propaganda of the NDC in a hard way.

Even though the communications team of the party are doing so well especially Chairman Kwame Baffoe Abronye and many others, the absence of Hon. Kennedy Agyapong could easily be seen and felt.’

He hinted that many Ghanaians have been begging and calling on Kennedy Agyapong to rescind his decision because they thought his absence has brought a lot of loopholes in the political environment and even gives many NDC members to peddle falsehood against the Akufo-Addo's government.

"Many Ghanaians have been calling and begging for the comeback of the Maverick Politician because, they think his absence has brought a lot of loopholes in our political environment and left so much propaganda by the NDC unattended,’ he said.

He alleged that "We know some top NDC officials and members who have called on him to relent his position and stage a comeback".

He wondered why the leadership of the NPP party led by its National Chairman, Freddie Blay for sitting unconcerned without speaking to Kennedy Agyapong to rescind his decision.

He, therefore, applauded President Akufo-Addo for engaging Kennedy Agyapong to rescind his decision and return into active politics.

"We know some top NDC officials and members who have called on him to relent his position and stage a comeback. Ghanaians, in general, wish he could come back as early as possible and wondered why the party leadership led by Hon. Freddy Blay looks so unconcerned about his feud with the party. Even though the President His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo calmed his nerves earlier, we expected the party leadership to have done the same and resolved the issue yet nothing has been done,’ the statement read.

The statement has appealed to Kennedy Agyapong to listen to the by Ghanaians and return into active politics and help Ghana and Akufo-Addo government as a whole.

Meanwhile, Ghanaian Rapper, Sarkodie has twitted calling on Kennedy Agyapong to return into active politics, "Miss Kennedy Agyapong in politics".
