National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammy Awuku says Ghanaians will vote in a religious manner during the November 7 polls.

According to him, the Ghanaian electorates are feeling the poor governance by the Mahama administration and “will vote on economic grounds… because people are determined” to oust President John Dramani Mahama from the Flagstaff House.

Sammy Awuku noted on Peace FM’s ‘kokrokoo’ that the current election situation is similar to the events that unfolded during the Nigerian elections last year.

He narrated that before President Buhari of Nigeria was elected to rule the nation; the government in power under the leadership of Ex- President Jonathan Goodluck smeared his personality with lies and fabricated stories to taint his reputation.

He cited instances where President Buhari was linked to Islamic militant group, ISIS, and also said to have no certificate or qualification to become the President of Nigeria.

In spite of the character assassination attempts on President Buhari prior to the Nigerian elections, the electorates went ahead to vote and elect him to lead the nation, and to Sammy Awuku, Ghanaians will repeat the actions of their counterparts in Nigeria by booting the current administration out.

“Ghanaians, in this election, should choose hope over fear; the hope that we can take our country where it is now, the shackles of poverty to the part of prosperity,” he urged Ghanaians.
