Former President John Mahama has said that attempts by the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) to buy votes and deceive voters with unrealistic promises will not help them win the December Presidential and Parliamentary Elections.

He said that Ghanaians would not allow themselves to be ‘fooled’ for the third time by the NPP and would vote massively against the ruling party on December 7.

“Deception and vote buying will not work again. They told us Ghana had money and that we’re hungry despite sitting on money. I want to ask Akufo-Addo, where is the money we’re sitting on?” Former President Mahama quizzed.

“There’s a saying that the first fool is not a fool, the second fool is not a fool but the third fool is a typical fool. But I know the people of Kpandai are not fools, Ghanaians are not also fools to be deceived for the third time. It won’t happen” Mr Mahama noted.

Former President Mahama was speaking at Kabonwule in the Kpandai constituency where he was addressing the chiefs and people as part of his campaign tour of the Northern region.

Mr Mahama was emphatic that the NDC would win the December elections by ‘one touch’ victory, saying that all indicators showed so.

“Don’t let anybody deceive you, by God’s grace, NDC is winning this election by one touch. There’ll be no second round because everything shows that NDC is winning massively” he stated emphatically.

Mr Mahama pledged to complete the Sabonjida e-block project that commenced under the NDC government and is yet to be completed.
