Essikadu (W/R), Nov.10, GNA - Ghanaians have been told that the country would lose the chance of achieving accelerated economic growth that would turn around the country's fortunes, if they failed to give their mandate to the NPP for another term in the upcoming general elections. Mr Joe Ghartey, NPP Parliamentary candidate for Essikadu-Ketan constituency said, the Government has evolved a more pragmatic programme for rapid growth in all sectors of the economy.
He told the Ghana News Agency at Essikadu near Sekondi on Wednesday that the programme "that would put smiles on the faces of Ghanaians is spelt out in the Party's manifesto, "Positive change chapter II" which was launched by President Kufuor on Monday.
"In fact Ghanaians will live to regret for along time, if they make the mistake to give their mandate to the NDC, which compounded the problems of the people when it was given the opportunity to rule the country". Mr Ghartey said the people should not allow themselves to be deceived by the NDC and its leadership because they have nothing to offer the country.
He appealed to the people to vote for him and the NPP in the upcoming December elections and promised to work hard to bring development to the area, if he wins.
Mr Ghartey advised party supporters and sympathisers to comport themselves and ensure that they did not flout the laws of the country.
