Gomoa West MP-elect, Mr Francis Kojo Arthur, has expressed gratitude to the District Chief Executive for the area, Mr Theophilus Aidoo-Mensah, his campaign team and entire constituency for returning him to Parliament.
The incumbent MP was particularly grateful to the DCE for working hard to ensure his retention.
Speaking to the GNA at Dawurampong, Mr Arthur also expressed his gratitude to the chiefs of the constituency for their support and words of advice given to him during his campaign tour.
Mr Arthur assured them of his determination to continue to work hard to improve standard of living in the constituents.
He pledged to the chiefs and queen-mothers that he would collaborate with them to push the Better Ghana Agenda initiated by the late President John Evans Atta Mills forward in the area.
He said apart from the scholarship awards he has provided for about 300 students from his share of the District Assembly Common Fund to further their education in the secondary and tertiary levels, he has provided educational facilities to enhance teaching and learning in the constituency.
The MP appealed to parents to invest in the education of their children since that was the surest way to get out of poverty.
Mr Arthur also commended the other candidates who contested the parliamentary seat in the constituency for conducting peaceful and incident-free campaign.
