Gomoa West declares support for Akufo-Addo

The entire delegates of the Gomoa West Constituency branch of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) have declared their overwhelming support for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo- Addo in the upcoming National Delegates Congress to elect flag bearer of the party.

Mr Bismark Basie Inkoom, Gomoa West Constituency Chairman made this declaration when the Campaign Team of Nana Akufo-Addo addressed the delegates at Apam-Junction.

He said the Polling Station Executives and the delegates in the Gomoa West have realized that Nana Addo is the best candidate who can lead the NPP to defeat the NDC in the 2016 elections.

The Campaign team has toured 19 out of the 23 constituencies in the Central region to canvas for votes for Nana Addo.

Mr Kwamena Bartels, a Member of Nana Addo Campaign Team for the Central Region predicted 95 percent win for Nana Akufo Addo on Oct 18,2014, during National Delegate Congress.

According to Mr Bartels, recent excellent and impressive 81.81 percent win in the Supper Delegates Congress to select five out of seven contestants showed that Nana Addo stands tall to defeat the two others.

The two other contestants are Mr Allan Kwadwo Kyeremanteng and Mr Adai Nimo.

Mr Bartels, who is the former Interior Minister in the Kufuor Administration, said Nana Addo had 79.8 percent in 2010 to become the 2012 Presidential Candidate and expressed hope that the delegates would increase the percentage.

He said the NDC did not change the Late President Professor Atta Mills as its candidate for three conservative times which helped the party to win power in 2008.

Nana Dr Ato Arthur, Leader of the Central Regional Campaign Team said farmers, traders, businessmen, students, workers and floating voters are calling for Nana Addo to become the flag bearer and urged delegates to vote for Nana Addo.

Nana Dr Ato Arthur, who is the MP for Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abirem (KEEA) said Ghanaians are waiting for the NPP to select a candidate who can assist to wrest power from the ruling NDC in 2016.

Mr Robert Kutin, Central Regional Chairman of the NPP, predicted that the Party will win 16 out of the 23 Parliamentary seats in the region in the 2016 elections.

He appealed to the delegates in the Central region to vote massively for nana Akufo-Addo, adding that, Ghanaians are going through hardship and needed the NPP to rescue them.
