Greater Accra NDC Zongo Caucus outdoor new office

The Greater Accra Regional Zongo Caucus of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Saturday outdoored an ultra-modern office located at Kanda, near the newly constructed regional mosque in Accra.

The office, which was formally the Greater Accra Regional NDC office has been handed over by the Regional Secretariat to the national executives to pursue the agenda 80 per cent votes in the Zongo communities.

Alhaji Baba Alhaji, Communications Director of the Caucus at the ceremony noted that the NDC is the only political party that cares for the Zongos and the purpose for which the office was given would be met.

He gave the assurance that the Zongo Caucus in the region would not do anything to mar the peace of the NDC in the region and the country at large.

The Communications Director said due to the apparent crucial nature of the 2016 general election, there is the need to clear all bottlenecks that could affect the fortunes of the party in the region.

He said as a recognised wing of the party, the Zongo Caucus of the NDC prime focus is to rebrand and revitalise the Caucus in the region to fall in tandem with President John Dramani Mahama's vision of winning 80 per cent votes from the Zongos in the next election.

"We have done it before in the past elections, and we can do it again in 2016 and beyond."

Alhaji Baba said with the efforts of the NDC, people living in the Zongo communities across the country have been enjoying opportunities in the education, health, agriculture and social interventions.

He urged members of the party to give continues support to President Mahama to manage the country's resources to raise the standards and improve the living conditions of the citizenry.

He reiterates the NDC Government commitment to ensure the success of people living in the Zongo communities and promote their living standards through education which is the bedrock of every country's development.

He called on members of the caucus and the NDC as a whole to desist from making statement that has the tendency to distract the party from planning as the country is preparing to enter into the election year.
