A vibrant mass volunteer group sprung up prior to the NPP Presidential primaries and has been very instrumental in the affairs of the NPP in ensuring the victory of Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia.

This group, which has an estimated 35,000 members across the country, calls itself Together for Bawumia (T4B) and has been pivotal in mobilising some of the huge numbers seen at NPP rallies.

Together for Bawumia keeps growing; and the last checks reveal it is expanding into creating branches in all electoral areas, and in the last month has been holding meetings to help dessiminate campaign messages of the NPP flagbearer.

Led by Farouk Sanko and ably supported by varying levels of professionals, with Khalil Abdullah as its National Coordinator, the volunteer group is very strong in the North and Central Regions.

According to sources, the group has declared an uncompromising support to Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia and has pledged to ensure their unwavering support to the NPP Candidate during and after the December 2024 election. It is believed to be the core movement that sprung up within the NPP in recent times following the election of Dr. Bawumia in the NPP primaries.

The group has an office in Spintex and operates also strongly in the digital space with some of it’s members playing an effective role in the NPP’s New Media Campaign.

They have their own operational vehicles and have been helping with logistics to support the NPP's main grassroots structures. On occasion, the organisation has been instrumental in organizing a series of Quranic recitations, hoping to add spiritual flavour to the campaign of the NPP Presidential Candidate.

In the coming months, the group is bound to begin a house-to-house campaign, more social media engagements and pasting of Dr. Bawumia’s posters.

Most definitely, some of the group members will be seen registering as NPP polling agents to complement the mainstream structures of the party in polling agent work on election day, the group leader informed this blog.

Together for Bawumia argues that with Dr. Bawumia’s vision of building Ghana’s economy with a strong digitisation framework and prudent economic management, the country’s youth will find it is possible to create opportunities for themselves and contribute to national development.
