Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has officially been sworn in as the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana
Clad in vibrant red kente regalia, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the country, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang took the oath of office under the guidance of Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo at the Black Star Square.
She pledged her allegiance to uphold and defend the country’s integrity and to fulfill her duties to the best of her ability.
She also swore to preserve and protect the country’s constitution. Her historic moment was met with loud cheers from the large crowd, who gathered to witness the momentous occasion.
