"I Will Take Pnc To Castle"

… PNC Greater Accra Chairman Vows

By Isacc Kyei andoh

Mr. Bala Maikankan, the newly elected Greater Regional Chairman for the People’s National Convention (PNC), has vowed to do everything humanly possible to ensure that the party emerges victorious in the up-coming general elections.

He made this revelation in an exclusive interview with The Citizen Newspaper when he was called for his views on the state of the nation and the chances of the PNC in the December polls.

He said that after countless failed promises by the NPP and the NDC when they were given the opportunity to serve the people, the onus now rests on no other party than the PNC to rescue the nation from the current hardship and insensitivity of successive governments to the plight of the good people of Ghana.

According to him, Ghanaians are more than ever craving for change and consider the PNC which he claims is currently the third largest political party as the best option.

“As the Chairman of the Region, I will use my energy and resources to champion a clean campaign and draw the attention of Ghanaians to this party and I know that based on our track record as a party when we came to power in the third republic, Ghanaians would place us where we truly belong in Ghana politics.”

He indicated that even though the NPP and NDC would keep to their usual splashing of money to buy the conscience of Ghanaians, it is going to misfire because many have taken note of their schemes and would not fall to it any longer.

“Ghanaians have suffered so much from money-centered politics and have learnt their lessons from the NPP and NDC”

He called on the rank and file of the party to come together and pursue the common agenda of rescuing the country from totally falling apart due to bad policies, stinking corruption and poor leadership that has been exhibited so far by the two main opposition parties.

He also called on the newly elected Regional Executives to ensure that the Greater Accra Region, which is currently divided between the NDC and NPP in terms of voting, becomes the power block of the party.

"Ghana needs visionary and deep thinkers to compete in the 21st century and the PNC has proven to be the only party that can make this nation a force to reckon with in the International Community"

"We are marking time when others are flying. When are we going to walk, run and think of flying?"

Ghanaians have been advised to exercise their franchise wisely and also resort to change when the "old guards" have clearly not been up to the task.
