Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo, says despite achieving a lot in life, he is still highly motivated to contributing to shaping Ghana as a better country where the welfare of the citizenry would be greatly improved.
Interaction with Fiifi Banson from his Nima residence on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.3 FM, Tuesday, Nana Addo said he is not desperate for power but his desire for the presidency is get to a bigger platform that will give him the opportunity to effect the biggest change that he is yearning for mother Ghana.
“The issue is not about being a President. It is about contribution. That whatever you have in you – your vision and what you can offer – you can also contribute immensely to the development of the country in helping to ensure that the well being of the people are improved”.
“So the motivation is not necessary to be a President but it is to make a contribution to the life and development of our country. It is an important place to do so. My life as a lawyer, I contributed a lot towards the development of the nation. But as President, and once you have power, may be that is where you have the biggest opportunity to make the biggest change”, he noted.
