The Member of Parliament for Afram Plains North constituency, Betty Nana Efua Krosbi Mensah, has said that she is confident of retaining her seat in the 2024 general elections.

She indicated that she is one of the best-performing MPs in the Eastern Region, considering the developmental projects she has embarked on, to improve the fortunes of the constituency.

The MP disclosed that she has built three CHPS compounds and twenty-one (21) pavilions, and three classroom blocks are also under construction for educational purposes.

Betty Mensah acknowledged that there have been difficulties in fixing the poor road network in some areas of the constituency but will keep pushing for them to be fixed as soon as possible.

"Because of the nature of the constituency, everybody is looking at the road network. But believe me or not, I don't know how many MPs have been able to build three CHPS compounds within a period of seven years. I don't know how many MPs have been able to build 21 pavilions. We have three classroom units that are under construction.

"Before the year comes to an end, we should start building those classrooms. I think my mandate has been served to the best of my abilities. I am sure my people have the confidence in me to deliver,” she said during an interview with GhanaWeb TV.

In an engagement with the constituents, some of them lamented about the poor nature of the roads, which is hampering the progress of businesses in the area.
