I will ensure that all young persons in Anyaa-Sowutoum are well educated — Emmanuel Tobbin

Emmanuel Tobbin, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Anyaa-Sowutoum, pledges to ensure that all children in his constituency receive an education if he is elected as a Member of Parliament (MP).

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA), Tobbin expressed his belief that education serves as a means to bridge the gap between the rich and the poor, hence his commitment.

He has already initiated the process and hopes to continue upon receiving the political mandate.

"For the youth, I am focusing on education. It is the only thing that brings equality between the poor and the rich, so I will do all that I can to ensure that all children in Anyaa-Sowutoum are well educated. We have already started; this year, I paid for the mock examinations for public school children across the entire constituency," he stated.

When questioned about his motivation to run for the Anyaa-Sowutoum seat after the January NPP parliamentary primaries, he cited his love for God, inspired by his Christian faith, and his desire to become 'an agent of development' to assist his community as driving forces behind his candidacy.

"When you are a person of God and you love God, you help people just as God does. Choosing to serve the people is akin to doing the work of God. Personally, I believe that the Christian and Muslim communities should take up the mantle of leadership to make it a better place to live," he shared with the GNA.

The businessman-turned-politician described himself as a "selfless person" eager to help the constituency reach new heights in development. He also mentioned his plans to support women, particularly mothers, with loans and training to enhance their businesses.
