Deputy General Secretary for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mustapha Gbande, has issued a series of stern warnings to the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako.
He stated that he would lead a team of policemen to arrest him immediately after the NDC is declared the winner of the December 7 elections.
When asked on what grounds he would do so, he pointed out that the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP engages in illegal mining activities in the forest, which is against the laws of the country.
During a radio interview monitored by mynewsgh.com, Mustapha Gbande mentioned that he would ensure the arrest of the Ashanti Regional NPP Chairman in Kumasi, his hometown.
"As soon as the NDC and John Dramani Mahama are declared the winners of the 2024 election, I will lead a team of policemen to arrest Wontumi," he declared.
"He will be apprehended at his residence in Kumasi," he concluded.
