He indicated that he will pay the first premium of the welfare package for the serving party officers and commit the party to continue with the payment annually.

The former 1st Vice Chairman of the party made this announcement to the delegates at his four days visit to the Western Region over the weekend

Mr. Ntim explained that the welfare package will be in a form of insurance coverage for the party officers against any misfortune in line with their work.

Adding that this will serve as a tool for the elected officers to energize the base to effectively work for the party at all times.

Mr. Ntim, in addition to the welfare package promise to the party officers, also promised to roll-out other two policies when voted as the national chairman .

He categorized the two policies as Recognition of the party elders at Constituency level and ending the monotony in electoral results of Ghana.

Speaking to the promise of Recognition of the party elders at the Constituency level, he lamented the seeming neglect of the party's elders and the aged who committed wholly to the party during their regime and some party members who have become indisposed as a result of their service to the party.

With regard to this, the Aspiring National Chairman, noted that there is the need to formalize such arrangement at every constituency to identify such members and build a database for them so that the Constituency Executives would be required to visit them at every quarter to appreciate their contributions and presence in the party.

Mr. Ntim bemoaned the failure of the party to have previously recognized some personalities who suffered for the party before their demise, citing the likes of J. B. Danquah, Peter Ala Adjetey, Agyanim Boateng, R. R. Amponsah, Courage Quarshigah, Adu Boahen, Dr. Addison among others.

However, he pleaded to endorse his candidature by voting massively for him so that he can implement his Recognition Policy to cater for the rest of the elders and members who are still alive but in a challenging situations.

In relation to the ending of monotony in electoral results of Ghana, the former 1st Vice chairman said the monotony in the country's electoral results whereby Ghanaians changes government after every eight years without looking into the economic implications of country.

He described it as not being healthy to the economic situation of the country.

"At the tale end of former president Kuffour's administration in 2008, the way the economy was growing if Ghanaians had agreed and allowed the then candidate Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to take over from him, Ghana would have been dreaming towards a middle income nation.

Mr. Ntim who has been tipped by political pundits to win the championship position in the forthcoming party's delegates congress at Koforidua received an overwhelming endorsement from all the Executives of the 26 Constituencies in the Western Region.

Mr. Stephen Ayesu Ntim is contesting for the fourth-time as a National Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party.

He is confident the delegates will reward him with his loyalty, faithfulness and commitment to the party over the years and vote massively for him come July 7, 2018 at Koforidua in the Eastern Region.
